How quickly will I receive a quotation after submitting an RFQ?

We respond with a full, itemised quotation within 24 hours of receiving a complete RFQ. If your requirement needs additional technical review — unusual materials, very tight tolerances, or a new product category — we will acknowledge within 24 hours and confirm a timeline. We do not believe in making customers wait three days for a number.

What information do I need to include in my RFQ?

The more detail the faster we can quote. Ideally: component description and application, material preference (or let us recommend), estimated annual or monthly quantity, dimensional drawing/CAD file/physical sample, target delivery timeline, and mould status. If you don’t have a drawing yet, send us a sample or sketch — our NPD team develops CAD from it.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

There is no fixed MOQ. Practically, injection moulding economics improve significantly above 10,000 pieces per year — below that, tooling amortisation makes per-piece cost high. For development and sampling phases we supply as few as 500 pieces. We always give an honest cost-per-piece across different volume scenarios.

Do you sign NDAs before reviewing technical drawings?

Yes — always, without hesitation. We sign your NDA before reviewing any proprietary drawings, specifications, or formulations. We can also provide our standard mutual NDA if you prefer. Confidentiality of customers’ IP is non-negotiable.

Which certifications does HnM Plastech hold?

We hold five certifications: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 13485:2016 (Medical Device QMS), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety), and IATF 16949:2016 (Automotive QMS — Letter of Conformance). All certificates are available for download on request.

What quality documentation do you provide with each shipment?

Every production batch ships with a Certificate of Conformance and dimensional inspection report. For first-article or new part launches, we provide a complete FAI/PPAP package including dimensional report, material test certificate, process capability data, and appearance approval where relevant. For medical components we maintain full lot traceability from raw material to finished goods.

Is your facility a clean room?

Our entire production floor operates under a controlled AHU environment — a DUSTECH 25,500 CMH system regulating temperature, humidity, and particulate levels. This is standard for our medical device manufacturing but benefits all sectors by ensuring consistent moulding conditions and minimising contamination risk.

Can you handle CAPA, 8D reports, and customer quality audits?

Yes. Our Quality Head has 9 years of industry experience and the team spans IQC, IPQC, FQC, SQA, and PQA functions. We have documented CAPA procedures, respond to complaints with structured 8D reports, and welcome on-site quality audits. Several existing customers including American MNCs conduct regular supplier audits at our facility.

How long does mould/tooling development take?

From drawing approval to first mould trial: 60 days. This includes DFM review, tool design, machining, first trial, and dimensional verification. We develop tooling both in-house (VMC, lathe, milling, surface grinding) and through strategic tooling partners for high-complexity moulds.

What is your injection moulding machine range and capacity?

We operate 10 Ferromatik Milacron injection moulding machines ranging from 80 tonnes to 250 tonnes, with a 300-tonne machine planned for 2026. We also have a dedicated blow moulding line for TPE/TPV hollow components. Mould capability spans 2 to 128 cavities with tolerances of ±0.1mm to ±0.5mm.

What materials do you process?

PP, ABS, Polycarbonate, Nylon 66, POM (Acetal), Flexible PVC, TPE, TPV, NBR-PP blends, and TPO. Our in-house MFI tester, rheometer, and density apparatus allow us to qualify new materials without relying on third-party labs. If your material isn’t listed — ask us.

Can you over-mould plastic on metal components?

Yes. We specialise in TPV/TPE over-moulding on metal — the basis of our electrical and power distribution product line. We currently supply over-moulded connector bodies to ENSTO (Finland). Insert moulding with metal placed before the plastic shot produces a bonded assembly in a single cycle.

Do you export? Which countries do you supply?

What are your standard lead times for mass production orders?

For repeat production orders on existing moulds, standard lead time is 4–6 weeks from purchase order to dispatch, depending on volume and material procurement. For urgent requirements, speak to our team and we will give an honest answer based on current machine loading.

What shipping and Incoterms do you work with?

We work with all standard Incoterms — EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP. For domestic Indian customers we typically arrange road freight on DAP terms. For international customers we work with established freight forwarders and can coordinate sea or air shipment. All export documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, COO, and COC is handled in-house.

What are your payment terms?

Standard terms are 50% advance with order confirmation and 50% before dispatch for new customers and tooling orders. For established customers with a track record, we offer net 30–45 day credit terms subject to credit evaluation. Tooling costs are treated separately from component pricing.

How is tooling cost handled — do I own the mould?

Yes — the customer owns the mould. Tooling is invoiced separately from component pricing. Once paid, the mould is your asset, stored at our facility for production. If you decide to move production elsewhere, the mould is released to you with 30 days notice. We maintain and repair moulds at no additional charge during normal production life.

Can I visit your facility before placing an order?

Absolutely — we actively encourage it. Factory visits are a normal part of supplier qualification and we welcome procurement teams, quality engineers, and technical managers. Our facility is in Ballabgarh, Faridabad — about 40 km from central Delhi. Contact us to schedule.

Do you work with brokers or sourcing agents, or only direct with OEMs?

We work directly with OEMs, Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers, and procurement teams. We do not use sales brokers. If you are working with a sourcing consultant on behalf of an end customer, that is fine — we always communicate directly with the end customer’s quality team.
